Home Past Programmes Hear the choir Musical Director About the choir Forthcoming Concerts Rehearsal Schedule	Have you been inspired by the BBC programme “The Choir” to find a choir to join? If so, read on! Hemel Hempstead Singers is an enthusiastic choir of around 25 voices who give concerts in the Hemel Hempstead area. The repertoire is wide-ranging, from the sixteenth century to the present day. We are a friendly informal group singing for pleasure, but aiming to achieve as high a standard as possible. The choir has been in demand for external bookings, including weddings and other functions. For availability for this, please contact Heather Houston (see below) or Simon Pusey (Musical Director). We will consider singing almost anything, given sufficient notice! We also hold social and fund raising functions such as quizzes, musical socials and garden parties. We would welcome new members of any voice, but would be particularly interested in enquiries from tenors and basses. The choir meets on Wednesdays from 8.00pm to 10.00pm at the Friends’ Meeting House. This is in The Alleys, Hemel Hempstead, off George Street. We are now having a summer break, and will be resuming on Wednesday 8^th September when we will be preparing the Rachmaninov Vespers and the Stanford Magnificat in B flat for unaccompanied double choir. There is a modest subscription, with reduced rates for students or the unemployed.
